A Brief History of Grillz

 

When you think of the fashion that mixes with rap music, it's easy to think of smiling MCs iced out bling with heavy Grillz. Since we at Valley High have had BBQ grilling on our minds for the upcoming 4th of July holiday, our ratchet minds can't help but wonder to the idea of Grillz and where they came from. A lot of people think that Grillz originated with Slick Rick in the 80s, but Grillz can be traced as early as 15000 AD in the Filipino culture. These days you can find cheaper versions for around 40 bucks, or you can ball out like Lil' Wayne and pay over 150,000 dollars for a pair!
